Keystone & Company Goes to the Movies at HiConnect 2026
Last week, Keystone & Company headed to Honolulu for IIDA Hawaii Pacific Chapter’s HiConnect 2026, the chapter’s annual contract interiors showcase held at the ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach.
This year’s theme was “A Night at the Movies,” and we couldn’t resist having a little fun with it. Our booth took inspiration from Fast Times at Ridgemont High—complete with a Ridgemont High-inspired surfboard and a little Spicoli spirit—while showcasing what Keystone does best: thoughtfully designed, internationally crafted custom hospitality furniture.
But the best part of HiConnect wasn’t the booth. It was the people.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, we had the opportunity to meet architects, interior designers, specifiers, purchasing professionals, and other members of Hawaii’s hospitality and design community. We made some wonderful new contacts, reconnected with industry colleagues, and had great conversations about upcoming projects and the custom furniture challenges designers are working to solve.

Keystone & Company embraced HiConnect’s “A Night at the Movies” theme with a little Fast Times at Ridgemont High inspiration.
More Than a Product Showcase
Events like HiConnect give us something that emails, drawings, and presentations simply can’t replace: the opportunity to sit down together and talk.
Custom hospitality furniture involves much more than selecting a piece from a catalog. Materials, finishes, dimensions, engineering, durability, budgets, lead times, prototypes, manufacturing, and logistics all become part of the conversation.
At Keystone & Company, we work collaboratively with designers, purchasing teams, developers, and ownership groups to take a design concept from an idea through engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and delivery.
HiConnect gave us the opportunity to introduce that process—and our capabilities—to more of Hawaii’s architecture and design community while learning more about the projects and opportunities taking shape across the islands.
Connections That Continue Beyond the Show
Trade shows are ultimately about relationships.
We came to HiConnect to share a little about Keystone & Company, but we left with new connections, new opportunities, and some genuinely exciting conversations that we look forward to continuing.
Whether the next project calls for a completely custom piece, a challenging material or finish, or simply a manufacturing partner who understands the hospitality design process, we hope the conversations that started in Honolulu are just the beginning.
Mahalo, Hawaii
A big mahalo to the IIDA Hawaii Pacific Chapter for putting together such a fun and welcoming event, and to everyone who took the time to stop by the Keystone & Company booth.
We loved meeting you.
And after a day surrounded by Hawaii’s incredible design community, we think our surfboard got it almost right:
At HiConnect, the only rule was to connect.
We’re already looking forward to the next one.
